DIGITAL RHEUMATOLOGY
Our platform delivers optimized,
AI-powered expert care
to patients living with chronic rheumatological diseases.
For patients
AppliGoutte is a mobile app for people living with gout, currently available in French. It provides unique daily support: a therapeutic education program covering the disease and its treatments, help with pre-diagnosis and flare management, and monitoring of the recovery pathway alongside background treatment.
It is prescribed or recommended by our partner healthcare professionals and is also available to all patients, as a support to their medical care.
For healthcare professionals
As rheumatologists become increasingly scarce and face growing numbers of chronic, multi-condition patients, our platform makes expert monitoring of active patient panels easier, in both outpatient and hospital settings.
Developed by international gout experts, our current solution enables state-of-the-art remote management of gout patients through our AppliGoutte patient app, which transmits all the data the platform needs.
Scientific framework
Our solutions are developed within a rigorous scientific framework, drawing on the latest international knowledge and recommendations. They are implemented to support state-of-the-art care, and we demonstrate their clinical effectiveness through studies conducted on our various solutions, in outpatient and hospital settings. Our goal is also to generate new knowledge about these diseases, in particular novel predictive models.

Company
In 2019, Prof. Hang-Korng Ea, from the expert gout unit at Lariboisière Hospital in Paris, decided to develop a mobile app to improve treatment adherence for people with gout, letting them track their progress along their care pathway. With the involvement of Sharon Abiven, then a PhD intern, and Perrine Courtois, who led the design-centered methodology, development and project management, a first prototype emerged. It draws in particular on a specific psycho-behavioral model based on the HAPA model (Health Action Process Approach, developed by Prof. Ralf Schwarzer).
In 2023, Rheuma Care SAS was founded to develop and commercialize a first complete gout-focused solution, including an advanced version of the mobile app that can be prescribed by healthcare professionals alongside drug treatment, and a remote monitoring platform.
